Dr. Polack has a passion for photography, and not just the dental kind. When it comes to photos outside of the office, Dr. Polack has one rule: Only point-and-shoot pocket cameras, or a phone. "I do not like carrying heavy photographic equipment. So I leave that in the office, and only shoot with cameras I can fit in my pocket". Photos will be added periodically to this section, so check back often!
Salinas Grandes, Jujuy, Argentina. This salt mine is located in the north west part of Argentina, approximately 13,000 feet above sea level. It is one of the world's largest and highest quality undeveloped lithium deposits. The lithium used to make the battery that powers the device you're watching this on likely comes from here!
Cipolletti, Rio Negro, Argentina. Summertime in Patagonia. Since Argentina occupies much of the southern part of South America, the weather varies vastly from north to south. In Patagonia, summers can be quite warm during the day, while still cool in the evenings.
Dubrovnik, Croatia. The defensive walls that surround the old city were built in the 13th century, along with forts and gates. If the fortress to the right looks familiar, it's because it served as the setting for King's Landing in the popular HBO show Game of Thrones.
San Sebastián, Spain The iconic La Concha Bay as viewed from Monte Igüeldo. The old-fashioned funfair at the top of the hill is definitely a fun nostalgia trip.
Perito Moreno Glacier, Santa Cruz, Argentina. This glacier, located within the Andes mountains, covers 97 sq miles, is 19 miles long, and represents the world's third largest reserve of fresh water. Hiking on it is a popular touristic activity.
